Art for those who notice the quiet magic of animals

Wander & Doodle grew from a habit I’ve always had: slowing down to notice animals.

A cat’s steady breath rising and falling as it sleeps curled up next to you.
A dog staring up at you with more love in the world than you know what to do with.
The quiet companionship animals offer without asking for anything in return.

These moments are easy to pass by, but once you notice them, they tend to stay with you.

I create each illustration in my Finger Lakes studio, often with my dog Oliver nearby, usually asleep, occasionally supervising. I work in an expressive style that leans toward feeling rather than perfection. While the forms remain grounded in realism, the color and texture are intentionally loose. I’m less interested in capturing exactly what an animal looks like and more interested in preserving the softness of what it feels like to be near them.

My hope is simple: that these pieces bring a sense of warmth into your space and gently pull you back into the present when you need it most.
