Our passion for candle craft is HIGH. Our propriety blend of coco/soy wax is clean burning & wicked good at throwing scent. No dirty chemicals here. We are based in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM, are New Mexico True Certified. We are cruelty free and only produce goods that are free of phthalates, parabens, sulphates, alcohol, dyes or anything else we deem potentially harmful. We began as a soap company that I accidentally started and my kids and I continued so we could be together as a family more than a traditional job allowed as we recovered from the aftermath of domestic violence. Our “bridge project” has increased to 250+ products, a retail storefront, and now a separate luxury candle brand. We are passionate about incredible quality, artistry, bringing unique goods to life, AND most importantly, uplifting and employing other women coming out of domestic violence.

On a deeper level, this is also a social enterprise empowering women who are coming out of domestic violence. Our founder, Maaike Fettah, knows firsthand the challenges and trauma that domestic violence can cause. She was able to escape her abusive relationship and rebuild her life with the help of a supportive community. After several years of selling artisanal soap & candles with her kids at local markets, she wanted to give back & help other women who are in similar situations. We partner with local organizations that provide services to those who are fleeing domestic violence & provide women with mentorship, a living wage & a supportive workplace. Everyone deserves a chance to heal, grow, & shine. Making candles with us is not only a job, but also a deeply therapeutic process. Our passion for candle craft is HIGH.
