Silverhill Creative Millinery is a one-woman millinery studio located in Vermont. Hand-crafted hats made using traditional, couture millinery techniques. I specialize in vintage-inspired hats for everyday wear. The hat studio was born of a love for fashions of the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s — especially hats, when women wore them every day. Hats are a fun, stylish accent that don’t need to be reserved for costumes or formal events, though I love those kinds, too! From casual to dressy, my creations are all about spreading the joy of hat-wearing. Bespoke orders are availalbe. Since starting in late 2012, hats have been sold to customers across the United States, and to Canada, Israel, the UK, Australia, Norway, and Hong Kong. Working out of my studio in Vermont, I create one-of-a-kind hats and headpieces completely by hand, using traditional millinery techniques. I have gained a reputation for my focus on the fine details of finishing a hat. With many of my hats featuring hand embroidery, I will also be expanding into embroidered artwork (framed for hanging).
