MW Soapworks is a plant-based skincare business rooted in environmental and social justice. We are disabled queer environmentalists that handcraft natural soap and skincare products in ways that highlight sustainability and connection with the natural world. Our business started in a small kitchen in 2013 and expanded into a brick and mortar shop location in our city’s downtown arts district in 2021. We prioritize sourcing our ingredients locally when possible to reduce our environmental impact and partner with suppliers with company ethics that match our own. Our overarching goal is to create low-waste skincare and self-care products for healthy communities and a healthy planet. Our soap studio is solar powered and we purchase green energy for our store location!
Our products include artisan handmade soaps (like our bestselling Black Mission Fig Soap), natural deodorants, beard oil, sore muscle balm, and so much more. We also feature a rotating selection of works from other local artists and small businesses in our shop with a focus on fellow marginalized community members because we know the value of diversity. We have gifts for everyone and for every occasion, including our house-made soap and skincare, LGBTQIA+ Pride merch, jewelry, wall art, eco-friendly home goods and more.
Ditch the poo poo doo doo billionaires. Check us out online at mwsoapworks.com or in person at 1310 Commercial Street in Downtown Bellingham, Washington!
