the small business scoop

Non-Touristy Tours of Atlanta – Home of the Original Adults-Only Wing Tour!

Small-group and private tours off the beaten path, offering local experiences to tourists, business travelers, new residents, friend groups, bachelor/ette parties, celebrations, and more.

These curated excursions skip the tourist traps and crowds and instead take you to places most travelers won’t find on their own. Even some spots native Atlantans don’t know!

The Original Adults-Only Wing Tour: Get to the root of Atlanta’s wing obsession. We’ll visit four of the city’s best wing spots and sample a range of flavors. Lemon pepper is always a feature, but we’ll also try classic hot, sweet chili, “crack wings,” and more. All tours end at the legendary Magic City, where the kitchen is almost as famous as the dancing. More than just a strip club, Magic City is a cultural touchstone: rappers drop their latest singles here first, politicians launch their campaign runs here, and athletes sign record-breaking contracts here. All food, non-alcoholic beverages, and cover charges for Magic City are included, along with transportation from and back to our meeting point in Midtown.  21+ only, no exceptions.

BuHi Food Tour: This tour highlights Atlanta as a global city and visits five incredible international restaurants along Buford Highway in Chamblee. The city is home to the world’s busiest airport, 43 embassies, consulates, and high-commissions, and a thriving immigrant community. We’ll learn a little history of the Buford Highway area over a long lunch, sampling a range of Latin and Asian flavors along they way, and ending with a sweet treat at a Korean-French bakery. All food and non-alcoholic beverages are included, along with transportation from and back to our meeting point in Midtown.

Only in Atlanta Sightseeing Tour: Discover the city’s lesser-visited attractions and hidden gems, including the world’s largest mausoleum at Westview Abbey, America’s largest collection of “freak” taxidermy at The Oddities Museum, outsider artwork at the Mechanical Riverfront Kingdom, and local music history at the Trap Music Museum. We’ll stop to make our own graffiti in Krog Street Tunnel, and have a lunch/shopping break in the quirky Little 5 Points neighborhood, where we also visit the Outkast mural. If you book well in advance (and if your schedule is flexible), I will attempt to book in at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s true crime museum inside their crime lab (that one’s not always possible to arrange, but I’ll try my best to get us on the books). All museum admission and transportation from and back to our meeting point in Midtown is included.

Private Tours: Text, email, or call for a fully customizable private tour that includes any of the aforementioned stops or other bespoke tours. We can center a private tour on any interests, for example, true crime and cemeteries, local history, vegetarian soul food tours, and rooftop bar crawls. Day trip options include Chattanooga, Helen, wineries and distilleries, or offbeat roadside attractions. Just let me know what your interests are!
