So what exactly is funk & furbish?
I take new and slightly used items and give them life by Funking them up.
Each item is either furbished (slightly used, recycled) or new and hand-dyed meticulously by using an ice- dye method with fiber-reactive dyes to create beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces. Each dyeing takes a minimum of 24 hours to complete each piece.

Being in the Fashion Industry for over 20 years I have a very good eye for selecting good quality apparel as well as purchasing from companies who support fair trade and sustainability. All the furbished items are either personal items, from family, friends or purchased from thrift shops. I am very particular about where the items come from and I look each item over very carefully to be sure its in near new condition. The new items are purchased prior to dyeing.
