I started ECR Vintners because I was tired of standing in front of the wine aisle—at places like Total Wine or Costco—overwhelmed by endless options that didn’t feel like they were made for me. As a millennial woman who loved wine but wasn’t interested in the pretentious or confusing side of it, I found myself caught between two extremes: bold, heavy reds that didn’t match my everyday meals, or mass-produced bottles that left me with more of a headache than a memory.
So, I decided to create something different.
ECR Vintners is my small-batch wine company where I make boutique California wines in Napa Valley, but with a twist: they’re crafted to be approachable, vibrant, and food-friendly. Each bottle is designed for real life—whether that’s “girl dinner,” a casual night with friends, or a celebration worth popping open something special. The wines are produced in small quantities from premier vineyards with women’s palates in mind, which means you won’t find them on grocery store shelves. Instead, they’re meant to be shared through curated experiences that combine storytelling, education, and fun.
My most popular offering isn’t just the wine itself—it’s the wine tasting experiences I host. Unlike a traditional, formal tasting, these events are conversational, approachable, and designed to empower people to actually understand what they like (and don’t like). We dive into things like: why some wines taste dry, what makes a wine food-friendly, how to identify flavor notes, and even the myths that confuse everyday drinkers (“legs” in wine, for instance). By the end, guests feel like they’ve learned something new while also laughing, connecting, and enjoying great wine.
At its core, my “why” is simple: wine should never feel like the hardest thing in your day. I want people—especially women—to feel confident and excited about wine, not intimidated by it. Through ECR Vintners, I get to combine my background as a wine educator with my own journey as a female entrepreneur, making the wine world more inclusive, fun, and approachable.
For me, ECR isn’t just about selling bottles—it’s about building community. Each glass poured is an invitation to slow down, savor, and connect. And if I can make even one person feel less overwhelmed by wine and more inspired to enjoy it? Then I’ve done my job.
