The saying is old, but variety is STILL the spice of life. I’m a multimedia artist, I should know! My name is Renée, and I’m an artist living and creating in Georgia. I’ve pursued my creative interests (drawing, sculpting, painting, and more) from a very early age. Happily, I’m continually inspired, so I keep doing the work. As a multimedia artist, I often combine my various disciplines to create fresh, unique work that offers a new perspective. As a lover of nature, and a protector of our planet, my specialty is art featuring recycled materials, specifically paper. Which leads me to my (sort of) accidental pursuit: paper mache. For quite a few years now, since I rediscovered it in college, I have experimented with creating modern paper mache. I’ve tested the limits and I keep pushing them because the possibilities are endless. And I love sharing those possibilities, especially with those who think paper mache is a rudimentary elementary school craft. That along with my other media is the vehicle for my ideal creative expression. Because I create and offer work in so many media, every day is different. And that’s what makes it fun!
