I’m Amber and I’m a Lansing area photographer specializing in outdoor + natural light sessions
In 2009 I got started with professional photography, and over the years I’ve learned a lot of different things. Technical skill and artistic style, of course, but also something about myself: I’m most passionate about empowering and uplifting the people around me. Loudly supporting and hyping up others comes naturally to me. Everyone has a gift – mine is showing people the best of themselves.
Instead of working inside a studio, I book all of my sessions outdoors. I have a laid-back attitude and prefer to work alongside my clients to bring their vision to life. Pinterest boards, instagram screenshots, whatever inspiration you’ve been saving – I want to see it! The more communication and collaboration, the better the photos turn out.
I try to keep the process simple:
After you’ve selected a date for your session, I’ll send over my session guide + questionnaire, and we’ll schedule a consult call.
On the call, we discuss your vision for the shoot, choose the perfect location, and go over the agreement so there aren’t any surprises. Every session comes with a personal use release, but I’ll also confirm if you’re ordering physical products. If so, I’ll go over what’s available and pricing.
I share images as we work, offer posing tips, and make it easy for people to be themselves. It doesn’t matter if you’re experienced in front of a camera or not – you’re going to love how you look! I also encourage folks to bring along a support person. Your bff, mom, whoever is best at getting you to crack a genuine smile is welcome to join!
A week after the session, I’ll have your sneak peek posted and ready to share on social media.
Within three weeks, you’ll receive a private online gallery of beautifully edited, high-resolution images, ready to download and share.
If you requested physical products during the consult, we’ll go over proofing and confirm your selections. Otherwise, there’s no pressure to buy or additional fees to pay.
