We are a cooperative local art gallery in the beautiful bay side town of Cape Charles located on the southern end of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Opening in the spring of 2022 with 7 artists, Local-ISH Art has enjoyed the support of our community and visitors alike. We’ve doubled our square footage and now show the work of more than 45 artists , Local-ISH Art gallery displays fine art, photography, jewelry, pottery, mosaic and fiber art. Our mission is to offer the local artist an opportunity to display their work in the business district of an increasingly popular beach town. The acronym “ISH” translates to Inspiring Shore Hospitality. We are a community gathering spot. We offer classes, host events and are supported by an all volunteer staff. Winner of ‘Best Of” award from Coastal Virginia Magazine (2022-2025) Local-ISH Art is a must see !!
